One of soccer's biggest superstars, Vinicius Junior, has undergone facial surgery just days after Brazil's elimination from the World Cup.
The Real Madrid forward returned to his home nation to begin his offseason, having gone straight to the World Cup after his season ended in Spain, only for his team to surprisingly fall to Erling Haaland's Norway in the Round of 16 — leaving the Brazilian stars in tears.
Vinicius Junior did not have the tournament he would have liked, but he is now enjoying his time off in Brazil before returning to Spain in just a few weeks. During his offseason, it appears he wanted to get some work done on himself, while reportedly undergoing chin harmonization surgery to define his face.

Brazilian news outlet TMC published a report featuring an image of the winger with dermatologist Dr. Alessandro Alarcao in Goiania, Brazil.
The surgery is said to use filler to "sculpt the facial contour." The report adds that the soccer superstar hoped to add more definition to his chin.

A number of photos of Vinicius Junior have been posted since the surgery, with his ex-girlfriend posting a video amid other reports suggesting the two may be back together.

The 26-year-old is likely to become the main man with Brazil's national squad, with Neymar almost certain to have played his final major tournament with his nation.
Neymar will be 38 by the time the next World Cup rolls around, having struggled with injuries over the past few years. He is now back playing in Brazil with Santos, his first professional team after four years at Barcelona and six at Paris Saint-Germain.
Vinicius Junior, meanwhile, will return to Real Madrid under new manager Jose Mourinho, who surprisingly returned to the team for a second time.
Mourinho was brought in after a tumultuous season, following Xabi Alonso's firing before moving to Chelsea this offseason.
The 63-year-old initially coached Madrid from 2010 to 2013, while spending the past few years with Roma, Fenerbahce and Benfica.
Mourinho, incredibly, did not lose a game in the Portuguese league last season, but only finished third, with Benfica winning 23 and drawing 11.
Vinicius Junior will be joined at Real Madrid by a number of new signings, including Ibrahima Konate (Liverpool), Marc Cucurella (Chelsea) and Bernardo Silva (Manchester City).
