Jack Quaid's Novocaine leads slowest box office weekend of the year with $8.7M debut
Novocaine topped the US box office over the weekend, but came in well below expectations, as did the rest of the latest offerings from Hollywood studios. The thriller starring Jack Quaid as a young man, who can't feel any pain due to his rare genetic makeup, on a mission to rescue the girl of his dreams from kidnappers. The film received an 82-percent critics ratings on Rotten Tomatoes with an even warmer reaction from audiences, who gave a score of 89.
